How drawdown really works

The drawdown model matters as much as its size. Watch the same five trading days play out under each model.

Floor follows your highest balance at any moment. Harshest.

Where Funded with Flow stands

Funded with Flow runs one-step evaluations across futures, options, equities and crypto on a single live-data platform. The differentiators we can prove: a 100% profit split on every paid tier, a $0 activation fee, free real-time market data, and a trailing drawdown that locks at your starting balance once you bank the buffer. A no-drawdown 250K plan is also available.

100% profit split
Keep all of your profit on every paid tier.
$0 activation fee
No surprise fee when you reach a funded account.
Free real-time data
Live market data is included — no add-on.
Drawdown locks at start
Once you bank the buffer, the floor stops trailing.

Only features we can verify from our own platform are claimed here. We make no “best/cheapest/guaranteed” claims about any firm.

The firms in this comparison

A short, neutral summary of each firm. Figures are public and change often — always confirm on the firm's official site before buying.

Apex Trader Funding

Futures

Official site ↗

Apex Trader Funding is one of the largest futures evaluation firms. Its 4.0 model uses a one-time fee with lifetime activation and an end-of-day trailing drawdown by default (a harsher legacy intraday-trailing option also exists). There is no daily loss limit and traders keep 100% of the first $25,000 in profit. Headline list prices are high but Apex runs near-constant 80–90% off promotions, so confirm the live price before buying.

Topstep

Futures

Official site ↗

Topstep is among the longest-running futures evaluation firms. The Trading Combine is a monthly subscription with a one-time activation fee charged when you reach a funded account. Its Maximum Loss Limit trails intraday and does not lock at the starting balance during the Combine, and a daily loss limit applies. Traders keep 100% of the first $10,000 in profit.

MyFundedFutures

Futures

Official site ↗

MyFundedFutures offers several plan families with different rule sets. The Rapid plans shown here use a 4% intraday-trailing drawdown with no daily loss limit, while Core/Pro plans use end-of-day trailing and different splits. Because the line-up changes regularly, verify the exact plan rules on the official site.

Take Profit Trader

Futures

Official site ↗

Take Profit Trader uses an end-of-day trailing drawdown during the evaluation, which lets traders hold through intraday volatility. Once funded, the PRO account switches to a stricter intraday trailing drawdown; PRO+ raises the split to 90% and keeps EOD drawdown. Withdrawals are available early once a buffer equal to the max drawdown is built.

TradeDay

Futures

Official site ↗

TradeDay offers an end-of-day trailing drawdown during the evaluation and emphasises fast payouts via its Quick Pay programme. Quick Pay funded accounts move to an intraday trailing drawdown once you pass, and an EOD option carries an upcharge.

Elite Trader Funding

Frequently asked questions

It is a tool that turns a prop firm’s evaluation rules — profit target, max drawdown, fees and profit split — into the numbers that actually matter to you: the true cost to reach a first payout, the percentage return you need, how much cushion the drawdown gives you, and what you would keep after the split. It lets you compare plans on the same basis instead of on headline price alone.
