1. Introduction

This U.S. State Privacy Rights & Region-Specific Disclosures page describes privacy rights that may be available to certain residents, depending on their jurisdiction and applicable law. It supplements our Privacy Policy and Data Processing Information.

The rights described here apply only where applicable and only to the extent provided by the law of your jurisdiction. The availability, scope, and conditions of these rights vary. [ATTORNEY REVIEW: confirm which specific state laws apply (e.g., CCPA/CPRA, VCDPA, CPA, CTDPA, UCPA, and other state laws) and tailor the disclosures, thresholds, and definitions accordingly.]

2. Rights That May Apply

Depending on your jurisdiction and where applicable, you may have the right to:

  • Access or know the personal data we process about you;
  • Correct inaccurate personal data;
  • Delete certain personal data;
  • Obtain a portable copy of certain personal data; and
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal data, or of targeted advertising, where applicable.

The exact rights available to you, and any exceptions, depend on your jurisdiction and applicable law.

3. Sale, Sharing, and Targeted Advertising

We do not "sell" personal data in the traditional sense of exchanging it for money. However, some state privacy laws define "sale", "sharing", and "targeted advertising" broadly, and certain activities (such as the use of cookies or similar technologies) may fall within those definitions depending on how they are interpreted.

Where applicable, you may have the right to opt out of such activities. [ATTORNEY REVIEW: confirm whether any processing constitutes a "sale", "share", or "targeted advertising" under each applicable state law, and provide the appropriate opt-out mechanism(s), including any Global Privacy Control handling.]

4. How to Exercise Your Rights

Where these rights apply, you may submit a request by contacting us at [email protected].

To protect your information, we may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, which may involve confirming information associated with your account. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. [ATTORNEY REVIEW: confirm verification standards, response timeframes, and any required request intake methods per jurisdiction.]

5. Non-Discrimination

Where applicable, we will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights. This means we will not deny you services, charge different prices, or provide a different level or quality of service solely because you exercised your rights, except as permitted by law.

6. Authorized Agents

Where permitted by applicable law, you may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We may require the agent to demonstrate authority to act for you and may require you to verify your identity directly. [ATTORNEY REVIEW: confirm authorized-agent requirements per applicable state law.]

7. Appeals

In some jurisdictions, if we decline to act on your request, you may have the right to appeal that decision. Where applicable, you may submit an appeal by contacting us at [email protected], and we will respond as required by applicable law. [ATTORNEY REVIEW: confirm appeal rights, timeframes, and process per jurisdiction.]

8. Users Outside the United States

If you are located outside the United States, you may have additional or different rights under the data-protection laws of your country or region. We aim to handle personal data consistently with applicable law. [ATTORNEY REVIEW: confirm obligations and disclosures for non-U.S. jurisdictions, including any applicable regional frameworks.]

9. Changes and Contact

We may update this page as laws and our practices evolve. For questions about your privacy rights or to submit a request, contact us at [email protected]. For more information about how we handle personal data, see our Privacy Policy and Data Processing Information.

We may update this document from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, ask you to review or re-accept it. Your continued use of the platform after an update means you accept the current version where permitted by law. See the Version History.
