Live P&L Preview for Spreads
How the Options screen shows a real time profit and loss preview as you build multi leg spreads on Funded with Flow.
When you build a multi leg option strategy on the Options screen, Funded with Flow shows a live profit and loss preview that updates in real time as you add legs, change strikes, or adjust quantity. It lets you see the shape of a trade before you place it.
What the Preview Shows
As you assemble a spread, the preview reflects the combined position, not just one leg. Because a spread caps both the potential gain and the potential loss, you can see those defined boundaries take shape as you add each option. In general, the preview helps you understand:
- Your net debit paid or net credit collected for the strategy.
- The maximum profit and maximum loss the position can reach.
- How profit and loss changes across a range of underlying prices.
This works the same way for the common structures you can build here: verticals, credit and debit spreads, iron condors, and calendars.
How to Read It as You Build
- Open the Options screen and pick your symbol to load the option chain.
- Add your first leg, for example buying a call or a put. The preview begins immediately.
- Add the offsetting leg or legs at the strikes and expiration you want. Each change updates the live profit and loss right away.
- Set your lots and quantity, then review the preview before you place the order.
Because the preview reacts to real time market data, watching it while you nudge strikes is a fast way to compare setups and understand a trade's risk and reward before committing.
What Affects the Preview
The numbers you see reflect current prices, so a quote moving will move the preview. Live data is included on every paid challenge, and every new user gets a 7 day real time market data trial to start.
How many lots and contracts you can carry in a spread is a plan rule, not a fixed number. Contract, lot, and position size limits vary by plan, so check the details on your account or compare tiers on the Pricing page before scaling a position.
Building a few spreads and watching the preview move is the best way to get comfortable with defined risk trades. For account specific questions, email [email protected].
