Your Free Paper Trading Account Explained

Every Funded with Flow trader gets one free paper trading account by default. It is a virtual practice account with no card required, no challenge rules, and it never fails or liquidates, so you can learn the platform with zero pressure.

What the paper account is for

Your paper account is where you practice. It lets you place simulated trades and see how everything works before you commit to a paid challenge. Because it has no profit target, no daily loss limit, and no drawdown to breach, you can experiment freely. Nothing you do here can fail an account or cost you real money.

Use it to get comfortable with the order ticket, charts, positions, and the way your profit and loss updates as the market moves.

Real time market data

Your free paper account includes a 7 day real time market data trial. During the trial you see live, real time prices while you practice. After the trial, live data continues if you have an active paid challenge or a standalone market data subscription. You can review live plan details on the Pricing page and manage a data subscription from the Billing page.

How to get started

Getting into your paper account takes only a moment.

1. Sign in with Google. There is no separate password to create, and using the same Google account each time keeps your accounts, challenges, and payouts together.
2. Open the Learn page for getting started guides and a walkthrough of the platform.
3. Head to the Trade terminal to place your first simulated stock or futures order using a market, limit, or stop order.
4. To practice options, open the Options screen and build a multi leg strategy with a live profit and loss preview.

You can check your accounts and switch the active one anytime from the Accounts page.

When you are ready for more

The paper account is practice only. To trade a challenge, prove your skills, and become funded with a 100 percent profit split, you start a paid plan from the Accounts page. Exact account sizes, targets, and rules vary by plan and are shown on the Pricing page and on each plan card.
