Prohibited Strategies and Market Manipulation

What counts as market manipulation or an abusive strategy on Funded with Flow, why those rules exist, and where to read the authoritative Trading Rules before you trade.

Funded with Flow rewards genuine trading skill, so any strategy that exploits the simulation instead of trading the real market is prohibited. The full, authoritative list lives in the Trading Rules.

## What counts as prohibited
Prohibited behaviour includes market manipulation and abusive strategies. In plain terms, these are approaches that try to game the platform or the price feed rather than take real market risk. Common examples include:

  • Manipulating or spoofing the order book, or placing orders you never genuinely intend to trade.
  • Exploiting delays, gaps, or errors in the data feed or quotes to book profit that would not exist in a live market.
  • Coordinating fills between accounts, or hedging one account against another to force a pass.
  • Abusing latency or high frequency tactics designed to harvest the simulation.

Because the environment runs on live, real time market data, a strategy that only works by leaning on a data glitch or a fill mechanic is treated as abuse, not skill.

## Why these rules exist
A funded account leads to real payouts at a 100 percent profit split, so an evaluation has to prove you can trade, not that you can find a loophole. The account rules that keep an account alive, including the daily loss limit, maximum drawdown, exposure caps, contract and position limits, maximum hold time, and allocation risk, all exist for the same reason. Those exact figures vary by plan and are shown on each plan card on the Pricing page and in your account details.

## Automation and your responsibility
You can build and schedule automated strategies and connect an AI agent through Algorithmic Trading, but you are responsible for every strategy you run. An automated approach that manipulates the market or abuses the feed is prohibited just the same as a manual one.

## If a strategy is flagged
Breaking a hard rule can fail or liquidate the account, and confirmed manipulation can put your standing and any pending payout at risk. If you are unsure whether an approach is allowed, read the Trading Rules and the Acceptable Use Policy first, or email [email protected] before you trade it.

When in doubt, trade the market honestly and keep your edge on the right side of the rules.
