Automation Safeguards and Auto Pause

How Funded with Flow protects your automated strategies, including auto pause when an account is not tradable and the account rules and permissions that still apply.

Automation on Funded with Flow comes with built in safeguards, and the most important one is auto pause: when an account is no longer tradable, your scheduled strategies stop firing automatically instead of pushing orders into a dead account. You stay in control the whole time.

What auto pause does

Automation runs on a specific account. If that account is no longer tradable, for example because it failed, was liquidated, or its subscription is not active, automation pauses the strategy rather than letting it keep sending orders that would only be rejected. This prevents pointless rejected orders and keeps your automation state honest. You can review and manage your strategies on the Algorithmic Trading page.

Safeguards around your automation

Automation runs inside the same account rules that govern all trading, so your guardrails still apply:

  • Account rules stay in force. Daily loss limits, maximum drawdown, exposure caps on No Drawdown plans, contract and position limits, and maximum allocation risk per position all apply to automated orders exactly as they do to manual ones. Exact figures vary by plan and are shown on the Pricing page and in your account.
  • Permission scoping for AI agents. When you connect an AI agent through MCP, you choose read only access or trade execution access, so an agent only does what you allow.
  • Position brackets. You can attach Take Profit and Stop Loss brackets to a position to auto exit at a chosen percent, dollar, or price level.

Staying in control

You are responsible for any strategy you run, so keep an eye on it. Turn on the alerts you want, including fills and account events, from the Alerts settings so you know when a strategy acts or an account changes. Review what is and is not allowed in the Trading Rules and the Acceptable Use Policy.

If a strategy paused and you are not sure why, check the account it runs on first, then email [email protected] for account specific help.
