Fixing a Blank or Stale Chart
How to fix a blank, frozen, or stale chart on the Funded with Flow Trade terminal by reloading, checking your market data connection, and understanding after hours behavior.
A blank or stale chart on the Trade terminal is almost always a temporary data or connection issue, not a problem with your account. In most cases you can clear it in a few seconds by switching symbols, refreshing, and confirming your market data connection.
Try these quick fixes first
Work through these in order. Most blank or stale charts clear on the first or second step.
- Switch to a different symbol on your watchlist, then switch back. This forces the chart to reload fresh history.
- Refresh the page. A quick reload reconnects the live data feed and redraws the chart.
- Check the market data status indicator on the terminal. If the connection dropped, give it a moment to reconnect, or refresh again.
- Confirm you are on a supported symbol. Stocks and futures such as ES, NQ, MES, MNQ, and GC trade on the terminal.
Check your market data access
Live charts need active real time market data. Every account includes a 7 day real time market data trial. After the trial, live data continues while you have an active paid challenge or a standalone Market Data subscription. If your trial has ended and you do not have an active challenge, your chart can look stale because the live feed has paused.
You can review or start a plan on the Pricing page, and manage your subscription or the standalone Market Data option on the Billing page.
When a stale chart is actually normal
Outside regular market hours, a chart may simply show the last completed session, which can look frozen even though everything is working. For supported symbols, overnight and 24/5 candles are built so you can still see recent movement. If you are viewing a symbol that does not trade around the clock, waiting for the next session is expected behavior.
Still not loading
If you have tried the steps above and the chart is still blank or stale, check the platform status page for any known data issues. For help with your specific account, or a problem that will not clear, email [email protected] or use the contact button on this page and you will get a reference number right away.
Charts recover on their own once the feed reconnects, so a quick reload is usually all it takes to get back to trading.
