Using the Trade Terminal
A practical walkthrough of the Trade terminal on Funded with Flow: reading the chart, placing orders, managing open positions, and attaching brackets.
The Trade terminal at /trade is your main screen for trading stocks and futures. From one place you can watch live charts, place orders, and manage open positions with real time profit and loss.
What you see on the screen
The terminal brings the essentials together:
- A live chart for the symbol you have selected. Outside market hours it may show the last session, and overnight or 24/5 candles are built for supported symbols.
- The order ticket, where you choose your quantity and place market, limit, and stop orders.
- Your open positions, each with live profit and loss as prices move.
- A watchlist so you can jump between symbols quickly.
- Your account info, so you always know which account you are trading.
Supported futures include symbols such as ES, NQ, MES, MNQ, and GC. For a full markets view, see /markets.
Placing an order
Select a symbol, then use the order ticket:
- Set your quantity.
- Choose an order type. A market order fills right away at the current price, a limit order fills only at your chosen price or better, and a stop order becomes a market order once your trigger price is hit.
- Submit to buy or sell.
Contract and position size limits vary by plan, so check your plan card on the Pricing page or your Accounts page for the exact figures that apply to you. Your fills and closed trades are recorded on the Activity page.
Managing positions and brackets
Open positions show live profit and loss right on the terminal. When you close a position, the close dialog lets you attach Take Profit and Stop Loss brackets that auto exit at a percent, dollar, or price level you choose. This is a simple way to lock in a target or cap a loss without watching every tick.
For multi leg option strategies, head to the Options screen instead, where you can build spreads and see a live profit and loss preview.
If the chart looks blank or stale
A blank or frozen chart is almost always a temporary data or connection issue. Switch to another symbol and back, refresh the page, and check your market data status. Real time data is included on all paid challenge plans and during your 7 day market data trial on the free paper account.
If something still looks off with a specific order or account, email [email protected] and we will take a look.
