Standalone Market Data Subscription
What the standalone Market Data subscription is, who needs it, and how to manage it on the Billing page so your charts and quotes stay live without an active challenge.
The standalone Market Data subscription keeps your charts, quotes, and option chains updating in real time even when you do not have an active paid challenge. You manage it on the Billing page.
When you need it
Real time market data is already included on every paid challenge tier, so if you have an active Novice, Starter, Intermediate, Committed, No Drawdown, or Instant Sim Funded account, you do not need a separate subscription.
You would add the standalone subscription when you want live data without a paid challenge running. The most common case is your Free Paper Trading account. Every user gets one paper account, and it includes a 7 day real time market data trial. After that trial ends, live data continues only while you have an active paid challenge or the standalone Market Data subscription. Without either, your paper account still works, but it no longer receives real time market data.
How to add or manage it
- Go to the Billing page.
- Add or review the Market Data subscription alongside your other billing details.
- Update your payment method or apply a promo code at checkout if you have one.
Billing, invoices, upgrades, and cancellation all live in the same place, so you can turn the standalone subscription on when you want live paper trading data and cancel it later from the same page.
What it costs and what it covers
The standalone subscription is a monthly plan that unlocks the same live, real time market data feed used across the Trade terminal, the Options screen, and Markets. Pricing is shown live at checkout on the Billing page. For how it compares to a full challenge plan, which already bundles live data, see the Pricing page.
Keep in mind that starting a paid challenge already includes real time data, so if a challenge is in your near future it is often simpler to go straight to a plan rather than paying for data on its own.
Good to know
- Cancelling the standalone subscription stops the live data feed but does not close your free paper account.
- Refunds are governed by the Refund Policy.
- Data use is covered by the Market Data disclaimer in the Legal Center.
If your data still looks delayed after subscribing, first try switching symbols and refreshing, then email [email protected] for help with your specific account.
